WASHINGTON VS. NEW ENGLAND

The Skins play host to the Patriots tonight and both teams will stick with the traditional 3^rd game preseason format. The Pats are looking to rebound from their lackluster performance last week in their 7-6 loss to the Bengals while the Skins, despite beating Pittsburgh last week, is hoping their offense can actually get going – the starting unit has yet to score a TD this preseason! Last week I backed the Skins and at the same time went against the Pats and was a successful 2-0. Tonight I see value in the Skins knowing the Pats are just 1-4 SU/ATS in their L5 preseason games coming off a Thursday game, 1-4 SU/ATS in their L5 as a preseason fave, and 3-7 SU/ATS in their L10 preseason games overall. I also see opportunity in the total. The offenses will be extra motivated as a result of last week’s performances and it only helps our cause knowing the OVER is 5-1 in the Pat’s L6 preseason games against the NFC East, averaging over 45 points per game with only 1 of those 6 coming in under 41.

PREDICTION: WASHINGTON 24 NEW ENGLAND 20

ARIZONA VS. GREEN BAY

The Cards play host to the Packers tonight. The Cards now sit at 0-2 after their 17-6 loss to the Chargers last week and their offense has yet to score a TD this preseason. Meanwhile, the Packers are sitting at 2-0 and they have looked solid on both sides of the ball so far. The new 3-4 scheme on defense will get their first real test tonight against the Cards potent spread offense. This line is suspect with a 0-2 team favored over a 2-0 team but I am not falling for it. The Cards will be the more motivated team and will look to get into the win column tonight especially with the way the offense has struggled. It is worth noting the Packers are just 1-5 SU and 2-4 ATS in their L6 week 3 preseason games. Meanwhile, Arizona is a perfect 6-0 ATS in their L6 week 3 preseason games and an impressive 9-0 ATS off a preseason loss when facing an opponent who won by double digits!!

PREDICTION: ARIZONA 27 GREEN BAY 17
