WHY on earth did oddsmakers make Denver the fave knowing that backup QB Simms isn’t playing tonight because of an injury, knowing that injuries to RBs Moreno and Jordan also keep them out of the game AND let’s not forget the suspension to WR Marshall. Denver fans have not been impressed with Orton thus far and are even calling out for back up Chris Simms. However, with Simms out Orton gets a chance to prove fans, coaches and the media wrong tonight – and no better time to win the hearts of fans by beating the man they just chased out of town! Do you believe in fairy tales? I do! Da Bears are coming off an impressive 17-3 home win against a very deep New York Giants squad which only adds to the value created by public perception – that the Bears are the superior team. But it is worth noting that Chicago is a horrible 2-12 ATS in their L14 off a preseason home win while Denver is 11-1 ATS in its L12 when posting a below .500 preseason record and 11-2 ATS L13 preseason home games when coming off a loss.
