A naked video that is allegedly ESPN hottie Erin Andrews has surfaced and been circulating around the internet the past few days. The video is a peephole shot showing a naked woman fixing her hair and putting on make up while doing simulated squats. It is still unclear who did the filming but the quality of video is not very clear and, as a result, created doubt as to whether, or not, it is even Andrews. However, Andrews seems to have squashed that theory by authorizing her attorney Marshall B. Grossman of Bingham McCuthchen LLP, to issue the following statement:
“While alone in the privacy of her hotel room, Erin Andrews was surreptitiously videotaped without her knowledge or consent. She was the victim of a crime and is taking action to protect herself and help ensure that others are not similarly violated in the future. Although the perpetrator or perpetrators of this criminal act have not yet been identified, when they are identified she intends to bring both civil and criminal charges against them and against anyone who has published the material. We request respect of Erin’s privacy at this time, while she and her representatives are working with the authorities.”
If the video is in fact Andrews it is a clear violation of her privacy and does make her a victim. However, I think it is only fair to say that she probably only stands to benefit tremendously from the additional publicity she has gained! Don't be surprised if the next stop for Andrews is Hugh Hefner's Palace!
