This game is played in A. City - just down the street from Philly so virtually a home game for St. Joe's. St. Joe's beat Charlotte in January by 9 as a home fave of 7. So given the fact it is virtually a home game for Joe's why did this line only open at -3.5? Charlotte out-rebounded Joe's in that game but early foul trouble killed them!! Despite Joe's scoring 78 points in that game 22 of those points came from the charity stripe. It is also worth noting that Joe's shot lights out for the game including 56% from 3-point land (23% above season average) and yet it still took a 3-point play with less than 2 minutes to play to seal the deal! Joe's lacks the discipline of year's past and is simply not a good team. Of course Charlotte is nothing to write home about they have stepped up down the stretch with big wins over Dayton and Xavier - proof that this team hasn't quit. Look for a Charlotte team who is playing on revenge to be extra motivated today, do a better job of avoiding early foul trouble, apply pressure to a guard who is suffering from a calf injury, and get the straight-up "W"!!
